INTRODUCTION
The Ramakrishna Mission Vidyapith, Purulia, was established in the year 1957 with the object of giving a practical and concrete shape to some of the educational ideas of Swami Vivekananda. The Higher Secondary section was started in 2000 and the first batch passed out in 2002. The aim of Vidyapith is to train boys for an all-round development of body, mind and spirit. For achieving this end it is necessary to have faith in the educational ideals of Swami Vivekananda. These ideals are based on Brahmacharya or purity and Shraddha or faith in one’s own self and faith in the preceptor.
